  If you are going to get a book on Actionscript, this is the book! Good for beginners as well as more advanced coders.

• Programming ActionScript 3.0 in the Flash CS3 LiveDocs
  On Adobe's website. Covers programming ActionScript 3.0 in the Flash CS3 LiveDocs. Very good resource. Use the nav tools in the top left corner (expand the table of contents). Navigating using table of contents is very helpful, and should help you find help on the topic you need help with.
• Programming ActionScript 3.0
  Adobe's beginners Actionscript tutorial. Covers programming fundamentals, explains how to work with objects, and provides two beginner examples.
• Getting Started with ActionScript 3.0 on Senocular.com
  A good very in-depth Tutorial on Actionscript 3.0 by a guy who knows what he's talking about. As a work in progress, its got some holes, but whats covered is covered well. Very detailed, and lengthy.
